The Air Training Corps is one of the country’s leading youth organisations.

As part of the Royal Air Force, we provide a challenging environment in which our cadets can rise above the rest.

“Venture Adventure” is our Corps motto and Adventure Training plays a major role in the delivery of the Air Training Corps mission which is;

  • To promote and encourage among young men and women a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
  • To provide training which will be useful in both the services and civilian life.
  • To foster a spirit of adventure and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

Training Course delivering Experience, Skills and Qualifications


Our approach to Adventure Training is to deliver the training, experience, skills and qualification to enable expeditionary adventures, which engage everyone.

Courses are available to Cadets and Staff which are squarely aimed at these objectives. Some course are run within the Wing, some at Region and Corps level, others are available through other organisations and third party providers.
