Three cadets from D&S wing took part in this year’s National Aerospace Camp. 209 cadets got their Blue Wings during the camp and some got their Bronze. Other subjects covered included Chinook flying, drone flying, radio, Air Traffic Control training and satellite data comms amongst others. We also had trips to the National Space Museum, Newark Air Museum, NATS at Swanick (included a night on HMS Bristol), Coningsby, Linton-on-Ouse, Waddington, Scampton and Rolls Royce Derby. On Wednesday we had a VIP day with a lot of Air Rank visitors as well as many Aerospace Industry VIPS. The RAF provided many displays including stands from TSW, EOD, Red Arrows, Recruitment, Grob Display Team etc etc. During the week the CGS got about 35-40 cadets a day airborne in Viking gliders.
